Jeremy Corren (b. 1994) integrates extensive experience as a pianist and computer programmer. He has performed at the world’s leading jazz venues and festivals with the likes of Immanuel Wilkins and Joel Ross, with whom he has recorded three albums for Blue Note Records. Corren’s interest in American popular song has led to him working with vocalist Tatiana Eva Marie and Broadway star Judy Kuhn. As a clinician, Jeremy has shared his knowledge with students through the Hancock (formerly Monk) Institute, Berklee Valencia, the Association pour l’encouragement de la Musique impRovisée (Geneva, CH), and the Oberlin Jazz Society.
Since graduating from Columbia University with degrees in Music and Computer Science, he has also worked as a professional software engineer on web applications in the logistics space and on music-related applications such as the notation software DNM. An active Hot Club of New York member, Jeremy credits innovative digital technologies with exposing him to early American sheet music and recordings, and he endeavors to leverage his areas of expertise to help share those cultural artifacts with others.
